George County agriculture a microcosm of state

   Mississippi’s new Commissioner of Agriculture  Andy Gipson made his second trip to George County last week and left even more impressed than he did on his first visit in early June. He said his two visits to George County have really opened his eyes and changed his perception of the county. He said his home county is principally cattle and pine trees. He assumed that was what he would find in George County.

   “You have all of this flat farmland. It is like a mini Delta over here.
